The AYSO Region 525 Soccer Board is committed to providing our community with a safe, healthy, and productive 2020 Fall Soccer Season. We are working with our local health officials and field authorities to determine a game plan and will keep you posted, as we receive information.

The 2020 Season will be Sept. 12th through Oct. 24th.

Here are the AYSO “Return to Play” National Guidelines for your reference.

August 3rd, 2020 Update

Hello Gorge Soccer Families- We are currently registering players for the fall season. Please go to gorgesoccer.org to register your players and spread the word!

Things will look different than in past seasons due to the Covid-19 guidelines. The current plan is to have smaller teams with 5 vs 5 in games with a Futsal style format. Futsal is fun and quick, with simple rules and gives kids many opportunities to touch the ball. Meeting times and locations will be spaced, not just on Saturdays, in order to maintain social distancing. The snack shack will be closed and we will have hand sanitizing stations available. We will let you know the mask wearing policy as the season gets closer. There will be no travel teams this season. Our goal is to get our kids on the field, but to do it as safely as possible.

The fees are less this season, only $30 per player which includes the $20 AYSO insurance fee, $7.25 Regional fee, and $2.75 Sports Connect registration fee per transaction. We kept our fees lower in case our state’s guidelines change and we have to end the season early, no refunds. The AYSO fee is good for a year, so we may be offering additional times for pick up Futsal, plus skills and drills days. Scholarships are available, if needed please email our registrar at paigemick@yahoo.com.

Volunteers are critical to the success of our program. If you are interested in helping, please sign yourself up as well.

Thank you for your patience and flexibility, we hope to see you on the field!

The Gorge Soccer Board

“The secret is to believe in your dreams; in your potential that you can be like your star, keep searching, keep believing and don’t lose faith in yourself.”

AYSO’s six philosophies separate us from the pack

Everyone Plays
Our program’s goal is for kids to play soccer-so we mandate that every player on every team must play at least half of every game.

Balanced Teams
Each year we form new teams as evenly balanced as possible-because it is fair and more fun when teams of equal ability play.

Open Registration
Our program is open to all children who meet our division age requirements (see our registration page for the age guidelines) who want to register and play soccer. Interest and enthusiasm are the only criteria for playing.

Positive Coaching
Encouragement of player effort provides for greater enjoyment by the players and ultimately leads to better-skilled and better-motivated players.

Good Sportsmanship
We strive to create a positive environment based on mutual respect rather than a win-at-all-costs attitude, and our program is designed to instill good sportsmanship in every facet of AYSO.

Player Development
We believe that all players should be able to develop their soccer skills and knowledge to the best of their abilities, both individually and as members of a team, in order to maximize their enjoyment of the game.
